This type of electroscope uses a current to form a circuit through the electroscope, the human body, and the earth, and its leakage current causes the bubble to glow and work.

 

That is to say, as long as the potential difference between the charged body and the earth exceeds a certain value, the low-voltage acousto-optic electroscope will emit a glow, and below a certain value, it will not emit light, thereby judging whether the low-voltage electrical device has a voltage. In order to ensure the safety of people and equipment, low-voltage acousto-optic electroscopes must conduct regular preventive tests every six months as required.

 

The preventive test items for low-voltage acousto-optic electroscope include the whole set of starting voltage test and the current bar withstand voltage test. The test structure should meet the requirements of technical indicators. The visual inspection should be carried out before the preventive test. . When there are obvious defects such as defects in the shell and cracks in the insulating rod, it is not advisable to carry out the test. It should be delivered in time for repair or replacement of parts.
